Travelling is an activity that many took for granted until the pandemic. Rituals of sharing photographs and memories of trips were halted for a year. Looking back through my archive, I revisited images from my travels in a bid to make them into new portals for escape, to create other worlds I once journeyed too but was denied access to again because of Covid. Combining somewhere I am presently and somewhere I have been in the past months is what this project about: the mixing of the mundane everyday and the not-everyday in one image.
